Design and Build Quality

Both the Vaporesso XROS 4 and XROS Pro impress with their sleek designs, but they cater to slightly different preferences.

XROS 4

With a unique seven-stage stretching, it features an all-aluminium alloy unibody design that feels incredibly sturdy in hand. Its dimensions of 120.80 x 24 x 14mm make it relatively compact, and at 51.5g, it’s lightweight enough for everyday carry.

The little screen of XROS 4 displays the basic status of the device, providing at-a-glance convenience of battery level, power mode and lock/unlock status.

Additionally, the pulse mode in the XROS 4 consistently boosts power, ensuring a robust flavour experience with every puff, which is a delightful feature for those who prioritise flavour intensity.

The XROS 4 is available in a variety of colours, from subtle blacks and blues to vibrant neons and pinks, catering to both minimalist and flamboyant tastes.

XROS Pro

It takes the design up a notch with a slightly larger frame, measuring 119.7*24.4*18.45mm and weighing 86g.

The XROS Pro features a practical screen for enhanced usability and a slide-lock button to prevent accidental firing, which is a thoughtful addition for safety. While it’s slightly heavier, the added weight lends a feel of durability and robustness.

The Pro introduces the first super pulse mode, which pioneers in providing a consistently powerful output throughout the battery's life, a feature that enhances the vaping experience by maintaining optimal performance from start to finish.

It also offers a diverse palette of colours, including elegant silvers and striking reds.

Battery and Charging

XROS 4

The 1000mAh battery in the XROS 4 easily powers me through a full day of moderate vaping. The USB-C fast charging on the regular XROS 4 is a lifesaver. 30 minutes is all it takes to juice up, which is perfect for my on-the-go lifestyle.

XROS Pro

The XROS Pro steps up the battery game with a beefy 1200mAh capacity. I can confidently go a day and a half without needing a recharge, even with heavier use. The fast charging is equally impressive, clocking in at around 35 minutes for a full charge. The detailed battery life indicator, displaying the percentage, is a welcome touch, eliminating any battery anxiety.

XROS Pod System

One of the things I love about the XROS series is the pod system. Both the XROS 4 and XROS Pro utilize the same XROS pods series, ranging from 0.4Ohm to 1.2Ohm, which is incredibly convenient. I can easily swap pods between devices depending on my needs.

The XROS pods themselves are equipped with Vaporesso's COREX 2.0 mesh coil technology which enhances flavour and extends pod lifespan compared to COREX 1.0 techs.

The top-fill design with the clamshell cap makes refilling a breeze, and I haven't experienced any leaking issues thanks to SSS Leak-Resistant Technology.

XROS 4

The XROS 4 comes with one 0.4ohm and one 0.8ohm pod, catering to both RDTL and MTL vaping styles right out of the box.

XROS Pro

The XROS Pro, on the other hand, includes two 0.4ohm pods for those who prefer a powerful RDTL vape. However, you can still use other pods with the XROS Pro to explore different RDTL and MTL experiences.

How to Use(take 0.4Ohm Pod as a sample)

XROS 4

  • Unbox: a battery device, a pre-installed 0.4Ohm pod, a 0.8Ohm pod, a charging cable, a user manual
  • Set up: Remove stickers from the bottom of 0.4Ohm pod and put back pod into battery device
  • Fill: Remove the mouthpiece. Slowly fill the pod with e-liquid through the exposed fill port, leaving a little air space at the top. Snap the mouthpiece back on securely.
  • Prime the coil: For a new pod, let the e-liquid soak into the coil for 5-10 minutes before vaping.
  • Power On/Off: To turn the device on or off, press the single button five times quickly. The screen will light up, displaying the current status, including battery life and mode.
  • Select output mode: Press the button three times to cycle through the available output modes: strong, stronger, and strongest. Each press is met with a responsive click, and the screen updates to reflect your selection.
  • Adjust airflow: Use the sliding back button to adjust the airflow to your liking. Whether you are preferring a tighter draw for Mouth-To-Lung (MTL) or a looser one for Restricted Direct Lung (RDL), the airflow can be tailored seamlessly.
  • Lock the device: Click the fire button four times to lock the device and prevent accidental firing in your pocket. You can still vape using inhale activation in this mode.
  • Charge: Connect the device via the side-charging port using the included Type-C charging cable. The charging process takes approximately 30 minutes for a full charge.

XROS Pro

  • Power On/Off: Turn the device on or off by clicking the fire button five times in 2 seconds
  • Adjust Wattage/Mode: For a customised experience, press the button three times in 2 seconds to enter the wattage adjustment mode. With 0.4Ohm pod, use the button to adjust the wattage in 0.5W increments, allowing precise control over your vaping intensity.
